2 Steps Overhead (2段 オーバーヘッド, 2 dan ōbāheddo) is a skill used by Tsubasa, Diaz and Natureza.

Description[]

This is, in fact, an advanced technique of the Overhead by using each of the player's legs in a two-step sequence.

When his first overhead is blocked[2] or going to be blocked [3], the player does a feint with one of his legs and, by tricking the opponent, shoots the Overhead Kick with his other leg. It is considered a "miracle technique" in the match between Jaigo vs Tsubasa in the Rio cup[4].

Notes[]

  1. Popular opinion continues to debate its exact origin, particularly in the locations where the manoeuvre was allegedly created (e.g., Brazil, Chile, and Peru). Nevertheless, the available facts and dates tell a straightforward narrative, indicating that the bicycle kick's invention occurred in South America, during an era of innovation in association football tactics and skills.
