Campione was a club owned by an Arab oil magnate. It had been founded one year prior to the events in Captain Tsubasa V, consisting of Joao's best students. Described as "the perfect team", they were able to beat strong teams such as Milan by a large margin even without Nitta and Alcion during the World Tournament.
Even though he was one of the best among Joao's students when it came to individual skills, Signori did not get chosen by Joao because of his loss against Tsubasa in the Calcio Festa '94.
Ruben was aware of Campione's existence and wanted to join them, but did not succeed.
