Captain Tsubasa: Aratanaru Densetsu Josho (キャプテン翼 新たなる伝説・序章 kyaputen tsubasa arata naru densetsu joshou) is a videogame developed and published by Konami exclusively in Japan. It was originally released in May 16, 2002 and re-released in May 22, 2003 as part of its line known as Konami the Best. Contrary to the previous Bandai games, it is based in the Captain Tsubasa manga series. It retakes some elements from the Captain Tsubasa (Tecmo game series).

Description[]

In this game, Tsubasa Ozora was called up to the national team 3 years after winning the International Junior Football Tournament instead of joining the youth team. Opponents introduced in World Youth Hen first met Tsubasa and Japan in preparation matches for the World Cup (dubbed the International Cup) rather than in the World Youth or World Youth qualifiers. Because of this setting, Real Japan 7 players, originally not age-eligible in the manga, were also able to join.
