The second season of the 2018 TV series, titled Captain Tsubasa Season 2 - Jr. Youth Arc (キャプテン翼シーズン2 ジュニアユース編) premiered on October 1, 2023. It is meant to adapt the J Boys' Challenge arc from the original manga.
Synopsis[]
In Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc, the International Junior Youth Tournament in Paris, France, is about to begin, and Tsubasa, Misaki, Wakabayashi, Hyuga and Wakashimazu are ready. Japan's team of elite players is to face off against the best the soccer world has to offer.

Trivia[]
- In the second trailer, a group stage table can be seen for the International Jr. Youth tournament took place in Paris. It shows that Malaysia Jr. Youth from the J Boys' Challenge arc has been replaced by Costa Rica Jr. Youth.
- In the episode 37, Gremio FBPA has been replaced by Paraguay as the opponent of Japan in a friendly. In the same episode, Japan's coach Yasuhiko Okudera's name is not mentioned, as he is simply referred as "Coach" by other characters, and even in the end credits.
- In the final episode, 38, among the crowd cheering Tsubasa, a cameo of Shingo Aoi can be seen.
- In this adaptation, the stadium where Bremen plays its matches against Japan and Italy resembles the Weserstadion after its 2009-2011 renovation, while the one where Munich plays against Japan resembles the Allianz Arena.
- Just like in the first season, many main characters have different coloured boots. In the case of Japan, only Tsubasa (Blue), Hyuga (Dark Red) and Misugi (Silver) keep their boots' colours from Season 1. Also, for other national teams, Schenider (Golden), Pierre (White), Napoleon (Olive), Victorino (Steel Blue) and Diaz (Copper).
