Carlos Santana's mother is the biological mother of Carlos Santana.
Description[]
Carlos Santana's mother first appeared on World Youth saga, chapter 62. She gave birth to Santana, who separated from him as a child and reunited at the epilogue of the World Youth tournament.
Appearance[]
Looks-wise, she and Carlos look alike a lot, with a similar curly hair, tan skin, light-colored eyes, and other facial expressions.

World Youth tournament
Santana's mother shows up in Japan, watching her estranged son's matches. She's seen speaking to Cario, Natureza's older brother. She is said to have left a baby Carlos on the field of Bara FC, a small football club of the city of Bahia. Considering her looks and apparent age, she might have been a single teenage mother.
As an adult, Santana came to Cario's village in the Amazon part of Brazil. He told Cario that he kept his given name, "Carlos", in order to find his biological parents since in the back of his cross, his name was written. Cario told Santana's Mother that he was resentful of his true heritage —hence his "Soccer Cyborg" name— but, he was reborn after he fought Tsubasa and got back his human heart and therefore has now completely forgiven his mother. In fact, Santana was waiting for his mother to come and see him play some day.
Epilogue
Right after the finals between Brazil Youth and Japan Youth, Santana is able to meet his birth mother again, thanks to Cario. She tries to apologize to him, but he cuts her off via embracing her tearfuly and saying that nothing and no one will tear them away from then on. After this reunion, they both live together.
Road to 2002 arc[]
Santana and his mother have now moved to Spain. There, he joins Valencia CF, in The Liga of Spain's First Division. Santana states that he won't leave things this way, because it's his mother's birthday.
