Carlos Santana (カルロス・サンターナ, karurosu santāna) is a Brazilian talented Forward who was trained by Roberto Hongo in order to become Tsubasa's strongest rival of the world.
History[]
Grown up in the slums, Santana became motivated to become a professional player to support his family in order to take them out of their poverty. He was being trained by Roberto during the three-year-gap of the latter leaving Tsubasa to go back to Brazil. There, he taught everything he knew to Santana, so the youngster learnt basically all what was in Roberto's annotations, even being able to outstand all Tsubasa's trademark techniques. However, even if he was in truth stronger than Tsubasa, he did lack the true concept of teamwork and relying on his teammates, a lesson he learnt by watching how Japan Jr. surpassed them in order to win the tournament.
