Cha In-cheon (Revised romanization: Cha Incheon, Japanese: 車 仁天, Romaji: Cha Inchon), is a forward from South Korea.

Description[]

Cha and Lee Yong-un form a two-top. He is a representative for South Korea. He plays for Borussia Mönchengladbach, in the Bundesliga. He wears the jersey #9.

Biography[]

Battle of World Youth arc[]

Prior to the Asian Youth Championship, Cha was badly injured after a clash with ace striker Xiao Junguang.

Because of the injury, Cha is unable to play in the preliminaries. Still, South Korea Youth made it through the 1st round.

Cha's absence makes things more difficult for the team in the second round. They only manage to tie against Iraq Youth in the group stage; and later, during the semifinals, they are put in a tough situation, Saudi Arabia Youth is leading 1-0 and has switched to a double stopper formation to protect the lead. At this point, South Korea decides to let Cha play.

Cha gets past Mark Owairan with his Heavy Tank Dribble, and then ties the game with a middle shot. But later, just before the end of the game, Cha's leg breaks again after a clash with Owairan. The former still manages to pass to Lee, who manages to score the reversing goal. South Korea advances to the finals, and acquires the right to participate in the World Youth.

The final match is against Japan. Without Cha, South Korea loses 0-2. Cha remarks that they will have their revenge in the World Youth.

World Youth tournament

South Korea is in the same group with Netherlands, Argentina and Ghana Youth. Even though Cha's in perfect condition now, South Korea is unable to go up against strong teams such as Netherlands and Argentina, and is eliminated after the group stage.

Etymology[]

His name may be a reference to the former South Korean national player Cha Bum-Kun.
