- For the custom characters in Captain Tsubasa V, see Custom character (Captain Tsubasa V).
This custom character article describes the customizable character in Captain Tsubasa IV: Pro no Rival-tachi.
Description[]
Upon introduction, the player can freely choose the name (limited to 6 characters) and adjust the stats of this character. The player can also freely name his special shot (limited to 11 characters); however, if no name is given, then it will be called Tornado by default.
History[]
The custom character introduced in Route A was a player that Soda had been paying attention to in Nanbu University Fussball, as his play reminded Soda of Tsubasa. Later, Misugi and Tsubasa himself also remarked that this character had a good football sense and would keep growing.
On the other hand, the custom character in Route C was simply introduced as a new player of Scudetto Japan and was not explored into any further.
Techniques[]
During the main story, the only special technique he can learn is a special shot called Tornado (can be named anything). However, in All-Star Mode, he can have a variety of techniques, depending on how his stats are attributed.

Trivia[]
- It should be noted that the custom characters appearing in the two routes are not necessarily one and the same, since they do not have a backstory or any personal information at all (this is up to the player to decide).
