Description[]

History[]

Captain Tsubasa (FC)[]

Main article: Deuter Muller

Captain Tsubasa II: Super Striker[]

Muller was the regular goalkeeper of West Germany Youth in the World Youth.

Captain Tsubasa III: Kotei no Chosen[]

Prior to the Universal Youth, Muller had been training in order to be able to stop the Cyclone. After All Japan Youth had finished their overseas campaign, Muller went to challenge Tsubasa to see the result of that training. Tsubasa became hesitant as he recalled Carlos' warning about how the Cyclone is a double-edged sword, and Hyuga was provoked into taking the challenge in his stead. Muller then easily stopped the Neo Tiger Shot.

During the final of the Universal Youth, both Tsubasa and Hyuga had new weapons - the Neo Cyclone and Lightning Tiger. Even though Germany ultimately lost, Muller still proved that scoring against him was a tough challenge.

Captain Tsubasa IV: Pro no Rival-tachi[]

Muller was playing for an unspecified Bundesliga club. He was also Germany's regular keeper in the routes that featured said team.

In Route C, after the final of the friendly tournament, Muller invited Tsubasa to come to Germany and play in the Bundesliga. Tsubasa thanked him for that, but then said that he had already decided to go to Italy.

Captain Tsubasa V: Hasha no Shogo Campione[]

He is one of the strongest goalkeepers in terms of both power and speed. [...] He doesn't have a special save, but he can stop most of the shots with ease. He has a lot of power, so he's good at competing against forwards!
- Captain Tsubasa V: Hasha no Shogo Campione, V Jump Books guide.

Muller went to Italy and joined Inter. At some point during an unspecified Italian championship, Inter had moved up to second place thanks to Muller's ability of keeping clean sheets. However, during a test match with Feyenoord, three young Dutch players - Ruud Krisman, Johan Rensenbrink and Gert Keizer managed to score multiple goals against him with their Total Football. After the match, Muller went to Gunter for advices, but the latter said that he had nothing more to teach Muller, and the goals Muller took were not because of technical weaknesses as he had none of those. Gunter then suggested Muller to come to Franz, as the key to the solution was with him. Here, Muller met an acquaintance who had decided to accept Franz's invitation.

Later, Muller became Germany's regular goalkeeper in the World Tournament.
