Synopsis[]

Roberto Hongo, the former Brazilian footballer, started free-loading in Tsubasa’s home. He also declared himself the trainer of the Nankatsu elementary school football club and told Tsubasa he has a 'thank you present'. It turns out it was a practice game against Nishigaoka. So, the latter starts to boast about how they once won with 30 points difference against Nankatsu, just like Shutetsu did, which leaves Tsubasa, Ryo and the Nankatsu group determined to play to their full power. That’s where the new Nankatsu Elementary School Football Club starts!

Plot[]

Tsubasa awakens in his room and performs the Overhead Kick that causes his mother to be covered in his blanket.

Afterward, Natsuko informs Tsubasa that she managed to transfer him to Nankatsu instead of Shutetsu. It's then revealed that Roberto will temporarily live in their home thanks to his father's suggestion. He puts great faith in that Roberto will teach him many things about soccer and that he'll be home soon.

At the breakfast table, Roberto and Natsuko detail to Tsubasa that Roberto arrived at their house around 2 a.m. that night. Initially, Natsuko mistook Roberto for a thief and soaked him with water. Had he only showed her the letter from her husband, then this confrontation with each other would have been avoided. Hearing that Ryo will introduce Tsubasa to the soccer team later that day, Roberto promises a special present at that time.

Later that day, Ryo talks with the soccer team about Tsubasa and tries to dissuade them about their doubts on Tsubasa's soccer skills. Soon, Tsubasa arrives and shows off a small soccer ball trick that impresses the team. Now with Tsubasa, Ryo formally introduces him to the team and they warmly welcome their new team player.

Elsewhere, Genzo does some jogging, despite his injury and his mentor's admonishment. Much to Genzo's chagrin; Tsubasa's soccer skills and his hubris, deeply emotionally scarred him.

Back on the field, the Nankatsu team do some laps around the field and then soccer passing practice. After all of this, the team asks Tsubasa more about his soccer background. Tsubasa explains to the group that his former soccer team wasn't good. He explains that they mostly cared about shooting and most of the members quit when practicing was too hard. The team members understand and can relate to what Tsubasa elucidated. Contrary, though, to Tsubasa's old team, they all love soccer and play the game earnestly.

Eventually, the Nishigaoka team arrives at the field to have a "scheduled" practice match with the team. Ryo is confused by this and Roberto then arrives and details it was his idea. Although Hanji of the opposing team, disparages Roberto, and Tsubasa tries to defend his mentor. Roberto stops Tsubasa and allows the comments to be said. As Roberto talks with his team, Hanji notes how Nankatsu lost against Shutetsu 30 - 0.

Just then, Genzo jogs by the field and sees the two teams talk with one another. On Tsubasa's team, Ryo nominates himself as team captain, and Roberto states that before he gives some tactical advice he wants to see them play a match first. This is so he can judge them of their individual skills to give them the appropriate advice to help improve their skills.

Once the match starts, Hanji notices Tsubasa as a new player and thinks nothing of him. Immediately, the Nishigaoka team take full control at the start of the game. However, Tsubasa blindsides the opposing team and scores the first shot of the game. His skills astound the Nishigaoka team and in the end, Tsubasa's team wins. Genzo watched the entire match as it played out and when it was over continued his jog. It's noted that Genzo is now more determined than ever to play against Tsubasa in the inter-school tournament.
