Synopsis[]

Genzo is furious about Nankatsu's unexpected strategy to keep Tsubasa in defense, so he orders his team to score fifty goals to challenge Tsubasa. Wakabayashi thinks it will be easy to score because Nankatsu previously lost in a practice match to Shutetsu with a 30-goal difference. However, Tsubasa's active play and Ishizaki and the others' great teamwork is keeping Shutetsu away from the goal. An irritated Wakabayashi jumps out of his goal and challenges Tsubasa to show him his intense shoot power. Finally, Tsubasa receives the ball, dribbles, and runs straight towards Wakabayashi instead, disobeying Roberto's strategy orders.

Plot[]

The soccer match between Shutetsu and Nankatsu continues with the first half already over and both sides have yet to score. Teppei, Mamoru, Hajime work together to try and score a goal, however, Tsubasa intervenes and blocks the potential score. Once more the trio tries again to score a goal and again Tsubasa blocks it with an Overhead Kick. As Taro watches Tsubasa's display, he analyses Tsubasa's kicks and reading of the course of the ball.

With unyielding determination, the trio tries a third time to score a goal, but this time they're all met with stiff competition from the Nankatsu players. As Teppei dribbles the soccer ball, Tsubasa Sliding Tackles the ball away from him. The opposing team's display of skill frustrates Genzo as they've dramatically improved their soccer skills. Tsubasa's mother, Natsuko cheers on her son on from the audience and is approached by someone.

Finally losing his nerve with the gameplay display of Nankatsu's counter-attack tactics, Genzo leaves his goal post and charges forward toward the ball. He then steals the ball from Ryo and shots it straight at Tsubasa who receives the ball. This was an open declaration of challenge toward Tsubasa and he accepts. Dribbling the ball and avoiding an opposing player, Tsubasa tries to score a goal, but is unable due to Genzo blocking it. Although the goal was blocked, Genzo was dissatisfied as he did not catch it.

Tsubasa readies himself for his corner kick and once he kicks it, the ball curves over to Ryo who shoots the ball at the goal. However, the ball hits the goal post, Genzo catches it, and the first half of the game ends. The score still 0-0, a distraught Genzo can't wrap his head around the fact how the ball managed to get past him.

During the intermission of the game, Tsubasa's father, Kodai appears before Tsubasa and his team. Kodai congratulates Tsubasa on how well he's done thus far and thanks his team for taking care of his son. After both team reviews over their tactics for the next game, it restarts Shingo a defender throws the ball into the field. Heading straight for the ball is Mamoru who clashes with Tsubasa and neither of them is able to get the ball. The ball then lands toward Manabu, but Teppei steals the ball and scores a goal. Elated by their goal, Tsubasa pulls them out of their gloating claiming the real match starts then and there.

Now playing seriously, Tsubasa dribbles the ball across the field and tries to land a goal, but it's caught by Genzo. The ball is then passed to Teppei, but soon the ball is stolen by Tsubasa who tries to land a goal again.
