Synopsis[]

Genzo's long-shot pierced the goal of Nankatsu. With not even five minutes extra time left, Nankatsu lost their lead. They swear to make a counter-attack to tie the game again but Shutetsu also keeps up the attacks for an additional goal. The time is almost over. As the time approaches when a single whistle will end the game, Tsubasa and Taro start their Golden Combi once more. Genzo comes to face them. Nankatsu or Shutetsu, who will be blessed with the victory in the end?

Plot[]

Less than 5 minutes remain on the clock and both sides are adamant they'll be the winner of the game. The Golden Combi once again work their moves on the field, passing the ball to each other and to their team players. However, Genzo intervenes on a pass and catches the ball while in mid-air. As the game continues, now with less than 3 minutes left on the clock, thanks to a feint by Taro, Tsubasa scores another goal. Because of this, the game is once again tied.

2 minutes remaining on the clock and both sides are anxious as well as pumped to be the side that lands the last goal. The game continues with Shutetsu with the ball, which shifts from both sides until Tsubasa tries to make a goal, but fails and the game sadly ends with a tie. Although there were no winners in the outcome of the match, both sides were impressed by each other's soccer skills in the end.

The following day at Tsubasa's home, Roberto notes that Tsubasa is gone. Natsuko informs him that of course, Tsubasa is out practicing soccer. In a soccer field, Tsubasa is practicing with Taro, while the rest of the Nankatsu team sit by and watch. Soon, they're joined by Ryo who informs the group about how the city of Nankatsu decided to create a local team selection. In joining this new endeavor, you'll have a chance to make it into the nationals. Hearing this news excites everyone and plan on once again practicing their skills in order to make the cut.

Back at the Ozara household, Roberto informs Kodai that he's considering returning to Brazil. Roberto also reveals the story of how he met Kodai after the captain saved him when he tried to kill himself by drowning.

Meanwhile, Genzo and his mentor Tatsuo practice his goalkeeping at his mansion until a package arrives for Genzo. The content to the package was a magazine, to which, after he reads steps out for a bit.

Returning to the soccer field where the Nankatsu team continues with their soccer practice. Ryo watches begrudgingly by as he too wants to play, but cannot because of his sprained ankle. He's soon confronted by Genzo who demands to know where Roberto is and then reveals that their coach is retired. This is due to his retinal detachment. Frantically the young players run to Tsubasa's house. While this is going on, Roberto begs Tsubasa's parents to be able to take Tsubasa to Brazil to train him right as Tsubasa and his friends enter the scene. Tsubasa then inquiries if it's true about Roberto's medical disability and he confirms it. Furthermore, Tsubasa agrees to go to Brazil with Roberto to train in soccer. So, Ryo and the rest of the group decide to partake in the Nankatsu city soccer tryouts.

On the day of the tryouts, both Shutetsu and Nanketsu players try their best and it's revealed that Tsubasa didn't leave for Brazil with Roberto. Instead, he decided to go there after the city tournament. In the end, only Tsubasa, Ryo, and Taro made the cut from Nakatsu.
