Plot[]
With a high-pitched whistle, the Yomiuriland tournament kicks off! Tsubasa and his teammates will play against Meiwa FC, the representative of Saitama. Tsubasa is tense, since he received advice from Wakabayashi to "overthrow Kojiro Hyuga". As he dashed toward the goal of the other team, Hyuga came close to stealing the ball from him. The audience starts roaring. This is the first encounter between the aces of Nankatsu and Meiwa. Even their other rivals keep a close eye on them.

- This mark the debut of Tsubasa's Heel Lift. In this technique, the player kicks the ball up with his heel, sending it over the heads of his opponents, then slips past them while the ball is outside their field of vision.
