- This episode marks the debut of Nitta's Peregrine Falcon Running Volley, the no-trap volley he mastered in his 5th attempt and in minute #18, nodding the jersey number he would later wear as a Japan Junior representative.
- In this episode, Tsubasa uses his Triangle Jump Header, a skill copied from Ken Wakashimazu. Tsubasa rebounds himself off the goalpost, in order to hit the ball with his head.
