Story[]

Kids' Dream arc[]

During the Group stage between Hanawa SS and Nankatsu SC starting with the twins separating, Masao pretending to trap the ball, he pushes towards the goalpost to perform a jumping headed pass to Kazuo, who would perform a volley. When they first performed it, Masao crashed into Nishio upon landing. Masao was unharmed, Nishio suffered injuries to his knee.

Boys' Fight arc[]

The Twins and their team Hanawa Middle School, like most of the other teams, wanted to defeat Nankatsu in the 16th National Middle School Tournament. At first, it seemed that they were quickly driven into a corner when even their usual aerial soccer was defeated by Ishizaki, who nullified their dependence for the goalpost as a means to score. However, they threatened Nankatsu once more with their newest technique, the Skylab Hurricane.

Captain Tsubasa film series[]

The Triangle Shot was U-13 Japan's secret weapon in order to score against England in the anime and against All Europe Jr. Youth in the Europa Daikessen movie.

A year later, in Ayaushi! Zen Nippon Jr., Tsubasa replaced Masao, who served as a decoy against Europe Jr., feinting in order to allow Tsubasa to do the shot and score against Hefner.
