Hans Dolman (ハンス・ドールマン, hansu dōruman) is a Dutch keeper. He wears the number "1" jersey.
Biography[]
Dolman, along with other young players who would soon become the main members of the Dutch youth team, was gathered by the scoutman Denis Kramer. They then became the members of AFC Ajax. Both Leon Dick and him form the Netherlands Youth defense Giant Combi.
During Netherlands Youth's campaign in Europe, they won against every opponent in France, Italy and also Germany, where they beat Genzo Wakabayashi's Hamburger SV. Then, they made another campaign in Asia, where they keep winning without taking a single goal. The last opponent of the campaign is Japan. The first two matches were easy victory, 6:0 and 7:0. However, in the third match, with overseas pro player Tsubasa Ozora returning to Japan, and Dolman and Leon Dick having to leave on stretchers after a clash, Japan won 10:1.
Battle of World Youth arc[]
Netherlands was in the same group with Argentina, South Korea and Ghana. With three wins, they end up first in the group. In the quarter-finals, they won 3:1 against France. However, in the semifinals, they lost 0:1 to Japan during extra time, where Genzo Wakabayashi finally had his rematch against Brian Cruyfford.
Etymology[]
While his surname and appearance are a reference to the Dutch mixed martial artist Chris Dolman, it could also be a pun on the dutch word for Goalkeeper 'Doelman'. His given name, Hans could also be a reference to the former Dutch goalkeeper Hans van Breukelen.
