This is the Tecmo game series version of Hikaru Matsuyama, a character from the original manga.

Captain Tsubasa II: Super Striker[]
Matsuyama was part of Furano HS, participating in the Japanese high school football tournament. Later, he became part of All Japan Youth in the World Youth tournament.
Captain Tsubasa III: Kotei no Chosen[]
Matsuyama went to England and joined Yorkshire Youth. In the Queen's Championship, his team faced Hermann Kaltz's Manchester Youth in the finals.
Later, he joined All Japan Youth to take part in the Universal Youth.
Captain Tsubasa IV: Pro no Rival-tachi[]
He is a defender who uses his strong legs and tenacity crafted in Hokkaido to face the opponents. In addition to his defensive abilities, he can also aim for the goal with the Avalanche Attack or his Eagle Shot when the situation calls for it.
