Izawa's Five Meter Diving Header

Izawa ep32 (2018) 1

Izawa's Jumping Header

  • Back-Heel Pass: A technical pass that takes opponents by surprise. He suddenly turns around while dribbling and executes a successful pass with his heel.
  • Dribbling: The usage of technical maneuvers. Dribbling can involve a wide variety of manipulative tricks and feints in order to go past an opponent, as well as elaborated skills and feints, in order to beat defenders. He can also use a counter-dribble to take the ball from an opponent.

Aerial shots[]

  • Diving Header: This diving header shot is used when the ball is low in the air. Moving at a high-speed while also hitting the ball accurately requires a significant amount of skill.
  • Double Team Header Block (w/ Takasugi) - It took a combined header block by them to stop Hyuga's header on an injured Genzo.
  • Jumping Header: The player heads the ball in mid-air. This requires that the player possesses sufficient skill to keep his balance in mid-air while accurately hitting the ball.

Ground shots[]

  • Precise Shot: A highly controlled shot with a precise trajectory. The emphasis is on the trajectory making the ball difficult for the keeper to catch, rather than on the shot's power.
  • Unexpected Attack: The Special Shot of Izawa, Nankatsu's Key Man. The unexpected shot slides past the opponent's defence, moving in a straight line to the goal.

Cooperative tactics[]

  • Shutetsu Trio One-Two: A coordinated attack performed by the Shutetsu Trio―Izawa, Kisugi, and Taki. The three of them slip past the opposition's defenders using combination techniques that they've been perfecting together since elementary school.
