At first, the Ozora family planned to have Tsubasa attend the private school Shutetsu in order to improve his football skills. However, after a series of events that occured during Tsubasa's first day in Nankatsu City, he decided to go to the public school Nankatsu instead.
A few days later, Taro Misaki also enrolled at Nankatsu.
In Endless Dream, many friends of Tsubasa took part in a special match between Nankatsu and Shutetsu as guest members.
