New Hero is a playable character from Japan, original from Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions.

Description[]

In Rise of New Champions, “New Hero story” (NEW HERO 編) is the game mode where the player will embody a character who will aspire to be a football legend. This character wears the jersey #23.

Story[]

Episode of New Hero[]

In this story, you become the main character (1st year) at one of seven top schools: Nankatsu, Furano, Musashi, Toho, Otomo, Hanawa or Hirado.

While deepening friendship with the core players of each school and learning new skills, the player aims to win all the matches and defeat Nankatsu or Toho (if Nankatsu) in a new tournament, the "Junior Hero League", which will be held after the 16th National middle school tournament.

After the Junior Hero League is over, the New Hero avatar will be chosen as part of Japan Junior and participate in the Junior Youth World Challenge to be held in the United States.

If the character completes some conditions, he may also be named Japan's vice-captain before the final. The usual ending has the character succeeding Tsubasa, Hyuga, Misugi, Matsuyama, Urabe or Kazuo Tachibana (depending on school) as captain, but there are other endings available, such as:

Training Skills[]

In order to aid his growth, the character has access to a set of Training Skills that can be equipped alongside regular Skills. They count towards the maximum six Skills (not including Captain Skills for V-Zone) that can be equipped at once, but can award extra Ability Points or Friendship Points, among other perks.

The character can select from one of three Skills that are randomly chosen each time the Team Gauge is filled by Successes and Great Successes in team missions depending on his school. The Training Skills can be shuffled by restarting the game before choosing one and having the Friendship Points recorded. Training Skill availability varies depending on the character's school and whether the Junior Youth World Challenge has been reached. All Training Skills have 1 Cost and are unequipped from the character by default when registration is being finalized after the credit roll.
