Nitta was part of Nankatsu HS.

Later, he joined All Japan Youth to participate in the friendly tournament Japan Cup, and then, the World Youth.

Captain Tsubasa III: Kotei no Chosen[]

Prior to the events in the game, Nitta, as a player of Nanbu University Fussball alongside Ishizaki, Soda and Morisaki, obtained the V-2 after defeating Musashi Laurels in the finals. Ishizaki later left Japan to join Sao Paulo.

Japan Representative Selection League[]

In Route A, Fussball took part in the Japan national team selection league with a newcomer. After the tournament, Nitta was among the selected players, who then faced Tsubasa and Ishizaki's Sao Paulo in a send-off match. Nitta managed to surprise Tsubasa during the match by breaking through with raw force rather than using feints or speed.[1]

Super Japan Cup[]

In Route C, Nitta joined Seinan Miracle for the Super Japan Cup. With the goal of becoming a professional player and surpassing Tsubasa, Nitta developed a new shot, the Falcon Claw.[1]

World Club Cup[]

In Route D, following Tsubasa and Ishizaki, Nitta also joined Sao Paulo.

Campione (CT5) 1

As a member of Campione

Captain Tsubasa V: Hasha no Shogo Campione[]

Together with Tsubasa and his teammates, he had played a central role in the All Japan team. His speed and shooting ability were his main selling points, but now he has powered up, with more precision and technique! To see how far he can go, he has joined Campione instead of the national team.

Brazilian league[]

As Tsubasa went to Italy to play for Lecce while Ishizaki returned to Japan, Nitta became the key player of Sao Paulo in Tsubasa's place, under the guidance of coach Joao. Nitta soon became one of Joao's best students, alongside Alcion, Kusta and Signori, and was taught the Artistic Dribble by Joao himself. He was able to score a hat-trick in 5 consecutive matches. Misugi even noted that, at one point, he had surpassed Hyuga.

World Tournament[]

Later on, Nitta refused to join Japan. At first, it was thought that he had taken the Brazilian nationality and joined Brazil, as Joao mentioned in his letter to Roberto that Nitta and Signori were the students that he wanted Roberto to confront. However, it later turned out that Nitta hadn't taken the Brazilian nationality, but rather transferred to a club named Campione, described as a perfect team. The team was able to beat strong opponents like Milan by a large margin even without him and Alcion, who were preserved for the finals.
