Being nurtured with great care by Roberto's mentor, Joao, the 16-year-old Signori was considered one of his "works of art" and eventually scouted by Parma. However, Signori was never a team player due to his lack of cooperativeness.

Signori made his debut during the Calcio Festa '94 tournament, where he alone managed to completely outplay the entire Milan team and score a double hat-trick against them. Later, against Juventus, while not playing full match, Signori easily scored against Ken Wakashimazu and showed Hyuga superior plays, diminishing the latter's pride and causing him to fall into a slump in the process.

In the finals of the tournament against Lecce, despite his superb skills and techniques, Signori was unable to score as Tsubasa had seen through his weakness of not passing the ball, resulting in Parma losing the game.

Some time later, Joao traveled to Saudi Arabia to meet the owner of his new team. Signori, being disappointed at his loss against Tsubasa, went after Joao to ask for some training, but the latter turned him down. Joao considered Signori as someone who had fallen behind and did not select him for his team, forcing him to join Brazil for the upcoming World Tournament instead.

During the World Tournament, in the match against Japan, Signori was used as a forward due to his attacking capabilities, while Santana was preserved. However, during half time, he was taken off the lineup due to his habit of disregarding his teammates. Thus, Santana replaced him. Brazil still lost in the end, but by watching Santana utilizing teamwork to put the team in a good shape, Signori finally understood the importance of team play.
