Description[]
This is the Tecmo game series version of Tsubasa Ozora, the main character of the original manga.
History[]
Captain Tsubasa (MCD) & Captain Tsubasa (FC)[]
- Main article: Tsubasa Ozora
While Tsubasa's story followed the original manga in general, there were also various changes. For example, in the MCD game, Tsubasa recognized Roberto himself instead of hearing from Mikami; and in the Famicom game, Tsubasa had to go look for Misaki in order for the latter to join All Japan Jr. Youth.
Captain Tsubasa II: Super Striker[]
"I'm not going back to Japan until I become a professional player!" With this determination, he moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil. His prodigious football sense was further refined under Roberto's guidance. In addition, his cheerful personality and unyielding spirit have made him the captain of the Japanese team. His dream is, of course, winning the World Cup for Japan!

Three years after the International Jr. Youth tournament, Tsubasa becomes the captain of Sao Paulo Youth. Here, he aims to defeat Carlos Santana and win the Rio Cup.
Later, Tsubasa and Sao Paulo participates in the Japan Cup, a tournament to strengthen Japan Youth. Tsubasa then rejoins his teammates in Japan to participate in the World Youth. Here, Tsubasa has to face old opponents that he fought 3 years ago, and also Roberto's Brazil Youth.
Captain Tsubasa III: Kotei no Chosen[]
He is a football boy who dreams of winning the World Cup for Japan. One year ago, he led Sao Paulo FC to win the Rio Cup. He also became the captain of All Japan Youth and led them to win the World Youth Tournament with his fantastic shot, the Cyclone. However, the Cyclone has an unexpected flaw...!
- Captain Tsubasa III: Kotei no Chosen game guide.
At the beginning of the game, Tsubasa aims for a second consecutive win in the Brazilian Rio Cup. At the same time, other oversea Japanese players compete against German players in their respective league. Players remaining in Japan will play oversea tour matches to prepare for the Universal Youth hosted by Germany. After every player is gathered, Japan challenges the Universal Youth.
Captain Tsubasa IV: Pro no Rival-tachi[]
In the fourth installment, Japanese players besides Genzo Wakabayashi step into the professional world one after another. Ryo Ishizaki, and later, Shun Nitta, joins Tsubasa in Sao Paulo.
Captain Tsubasa V: Hasha no Shogo Campione[]
After becoming a professional player in Brazil, Tsubasa decided to make his dream of winning the World Cup a reality by joining the Italian Serie A, a league that attracts top players from all over the world. While there are many prestigious teams, Tsubasa chose Lecce, a team that had just been promoted from Serie B this year. While many other teams use foreign players, Lecce has been playing with only Italians. That tradition is about to take a heavy toll on Tsubasa...
- Captain Tsubasa V: Hasha no Shogo Campione game guide.
Tsubasa goes to Italy to play for Lecce as a transfer from Brazil. Meanwhile, in Brazil, Nitta becomes the new ace of Sao Paulo, under the guidance of coach Joao. Later, Japan participate in the World Tournament, where they will eventually have to face Joao's students.
