World Youth Tournament (DT) 1

The World Youth Tournament, for national teams with players under 20 years of age, was held in Japan due to a civil war in the original host country (Burunga Republic). It takes place 4 years after the 1st International Jr. Youth Tournament in France. This tournament was from the 10th of October to the 3rd of November.

Venues[]

Several stadiums were used as venues. They associated the different groups by regions.
Group A = Kanto
Group B = Chubu[1]
Group C = Kansai
Group D = Kyushu

Qualified teams[]

In addition to the host team (Japan), and one place for the defending champions (Brazil), 14 other national teams qualified from five continental tournaments. (WY, ch.47, p.37-38)
